Maria Elena Bello

 Maria Elena Bello, born April 18 1967 is an American actress as well as a producer and writer. Her film roles include Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly (2000), The Cooler (2003), A History of Violence (2005), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008), Grown Ups (2010), Prisoners (2013), and Lights Out (2016). Bello was a major player on TV as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical drama ER (1997-1998) as well with other starring roles like Michelle McBride in the first season (2016) of Goliath as well as Jacqueline Sloane as a Special Agent on NCIS between 2017 and 2021. Bello was raised in Norristown to Kathy Bello and Joe Bello. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in political science. Bello continued to train in acting in several New York theater productions after she completed her degree. Bello has one son named Jackson with her former partner Dan McDermott. In November 2013 Bello wrote about her former partner Clare Munn's same-sex relationship. The book she published was titled Whatever...Love Is Loving: Examining the Labels We Give to ourselves (Dey Street Books, April 28 2015.).
