Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born on the 20th of October, 1964, is a prominent American politician and lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is the first woman to be elected vice president and also holds the title of highest-ranking female officer in the history of America. She is a member and former senator from California. Harris was born in Oakland, California. She graduated from Howard University as well as the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She started her career with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Then she was recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was elected San Francisco's district attorney. In 2010 Harris was appointed Attorney General of California and was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the junior United States Senator from California between 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez to become the 2nd African American woman senator and the first South Asian American ever to be elected to the United States Senate. Harris was a senator who advocated for healthcare and federal de-scheduling cannabis. A pathway to citizenship for undocumented migrants. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. Her sharp questioning of Trump officials in Senate hearings has garnered her national attention, including the second Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, who was charged with sexual assault.
