Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian from Canada actor, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been the recipient of many distinctions including an award from the Genie Award and a Golden Globe Award. O'Hara also won two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, six Canadian Screen Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974, as a member of The Second City in Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). The following year, O'Hara and Candy began work on the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984) in which she received praise from critics for her work as a comedic actress and as a writer, securing a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
