Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her starring role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson as well as an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. The seventh season of the show concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). She was also in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator, family therapist, venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was an Episcopalian. She was also of English origins. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said that she is a part of Passover seders.
